Ragusa Convertible Crib
The Ragusa Forever Crib is a timeless and elegant choice for honoring the joyous movement in your life as you welcome your new little one. The strong lines of the molding that frame the crib are softened by the gentle curves that are present on both the headboard and footboard. The understated flair of the design brings together the Baroque curve motif with a charmingly modern design. The footboard is a lovely combination of straight slats that are offset by the curves echoing each other and hinting at the parts of an oval. The feet of the crib are also defined by a delicate curve that runs along the bottom of the piece. On the headboard there are strong straight lines that travel down from the curve almost seeming to hold that delicate detail in the air.
The dresser, chest, toddler rail, full-size bed rails and other accessories are sold separately. We strongly recommend that the conversion rails be purchased at the same time as the crib.
Please note that, when converting the crib into a full-size bed you need to use under the mattress either a box spring or a bunky board.
- Use care when cleaning furniture with textured finishes such as the Ragusa Distressed Granite. It is recommended to use a soft cotton cloth and wipe across the wood grain. Do not wipe in the same direction as the wood grain. Microfiber cloths should not be used as they can damage the finish. -
Available in Distressed Granite or Vintage White.
Like the historic architecture of this collection’s namesake, the Ragusa Forever Crib is designed with an enduringly beautiful style that will delight your family for years to come. Created to transition from a crib to a toddler’s bed, a child’s day bed, and later a full-sized bed, you know that the quality craftsmanship and style that we strive to put into every piece we make will last even as the years go by. Finished with non-toxic finishes that are regularly tested to ensure that they exceed the required standards for lead, the Ragusa Forever Crib is as stunning as it is safe.
It is available in Vintage White, Stone, and Distressed Granite, a light grey that is finished with a distressed surface.
Baroque beauty with a charmingly modern design.
The ancient gem of a town, Ragusa [ra'gu:za], sits on the southern end of the island of Sicily. The many classically designed Baroque buildings climb up the sides of three hills and feature sweeping views in every direction. While ornate decorations may be what we think of with Baroque architecture, it is actually an adherence to the simple oval that defines the design. Using a balance of curves and counter curves, the masters created a motif that establishes beauty, simplicity, and movement. The Ragusa Collection defined by a trendy and timeless design utilizes this simple Baroque motif of curves evoking beauty and motion while bringing the old world into the new.
