The Black Rhinoceros is a relatively large animal, the largest males can measure up to 1000 feet, for a weight up to 3300 pounds! It is distinguished from other rhinoceros breeds, not by its color, which is the same as that of a white rhinoceros (for example), but by the shape of its skull, more stocky, as well as two deeply rooted horns . Solitary nature, it activates only at the end of the night and rubs its congeners only during the breeding season. They have a very good sense of smell and fine hearing, however almost blind, and hardly distinguish forms beyond 65 feet. The Black Rhinoceros of West Africa is a species declared extinct since 2011.
